ECONOMIC IDEAL – Madrid, Nov 12, IRNA – Meliá Chain Hotels continues to build its under construction luxury hotel in north of Iran amid sanctions imposed by the US government, said the company chairman.
“Although the sanctions may incur delays to the project, we hope it will be opened in the future,” said Gabriel Escarrer Juliá according to Spanish media Vozpópuli reported.
The project was planned to be opened by the end of 2018.
The Spanish hotel construction company announced its entry in Iranian market with its five-star hotel on 2016 to be built in Iran’s northern city of Salmanshahr in Mazandaran province, as a part of Ghoo Middle East Diamond tourist complex.
Escarrer had previously said in the announcement ceremony in March 2016 that he “firmly believes in Iran’s potentials in tourism’.
