ECONOMIC IDEAL – Islamabad, Nov 19, IRNA – Pakistan Minister for Finance Asad Umar says the country maintains deep-rooted cultural and brotherly relations with Iran and that the trade volume exchanges between the two nations should be enhanced, state media reported on Monday.
Currently, the trade volume between Iran and Pakistan is about $ 1.5 billion, Umar said, adding that, in addition to Iran, trade exchanges can be improved with all the other neighboring countries.
The Pakistani finance minister also stressed Islamabad welcomes foreign investments, saying as Iran's eastern neighbor the country provides foreign investors with a lot of opportunities in different fields.
‘We will welcome all the countries who want to invest here,’ Umar said.
