ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA- Deputy Director of Marine Affairs of Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran said that although Iran is facing unfair sanctions and all-out economic war, Iranian ship in terms of insurance, classification and transportation in international waters have no problems.
Hadi Haqshenas added in the news conference on Tuesday that despite the economic war with the Americans, dockings of Iranian and foreign ships are being carried out at the Iranian ports, indicating that no port is sanctioned in Iran.
The official stated, ‘Now, all Iranian ship are commuting through the holy flag of Iran in the waters of the world, although internationally, the fleet can use the flags of other countries in the world.’
He cited United States restrictions on Iranian shipping in international waters, and said, ‘Americans have claimed over the past few months that Iranian ship are not safe and should not be allowed to commute in international waters, but we raised the issue in the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London and argued that no country could impose sanctions against another country in the maritime domain, which is contrary to international regulations.’
