ECONOMIC IDEAL – Gorgan, Feb 16, IRNA – Director General of Northeast Rail- 2 (Golestan province), announced a 120% increase in rail exports from the Incheborun border in the first 10 months of this current Iranian year (starting March 21) compared to the same period last year.
Mohammad Reza Qorbani said on Saturday that 114,192 tons of goods have been traded through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Russia since the middle of 2018.
He said that of the 76,699 tons are related to import, 475 tons of transit cargo and 37,18 tons of non-oil are related to exports, the total tonnage of exports increased by 120 percent compared to the same period last year.
Director General of Northeast Rail- 2 said, “The Incheborun corridor rail of Golestan province has a significant role in exporting, transiting and importing goods for merchants of the region, and commercial companies should use this rail capacity optimally.
According to IRNA, the operation of Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan international railway began in December 2014, with the presence of the presidents of the three countries on the border of Incheborun, Golestan province.
