ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, April 17, IRNA – Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Rastad on Wednesday explored ways of using trade and connectivity capacities with the officials of the Vietnamese Port of Hai Phong.
Rastad, also managing director of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), explained capacities and functions of the Iranian ports, plans for development as well as Iran’s maritime industries achievements.
He also stressed the need for promoting economic relations and using each other’s sea-oriented economic opportunities.
During the meeting, senior directors of the Hai Phong Port presented a report on its capacities and functions.
Rastad and accompanying delegation are in Hai Phong, the biggest trade port in northern Vietnam, on the invitation of the country’s maritime officials and with the aim of boosting port and maritime cooperation.
