TEHRAN (ECOIDEAL)- Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi underlined that Tehran and Jakarta are having satisfactory relations in different fields.
Tehran and Jakarta have always enjoyed friendly cooperation after the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979," Nasrabadi said on Friday.
The Iranian ambassador underlined the importance of fostering all-out bilateral ties with Indonesia.
"Iran's has gained huge achievements in the scientific and technology arenas and is ready to increase its relations and share experiences with Indonesia," Nasrabadi added.
In relevant remarks earlier in February, Indonesian ambassador to Tehran Octavino Alimudin insisted that his country "is willing to increase the level of trade relations with Iran".
"The value of trade exchanges between Indonesia and Iran has doubled in 2017 as compared with 2016," Alimudin said, addressing the opening ceremony of Indonesia-Iran Friendship Association Office in Jakarta.
He underlined that Indonesia with a population of more than 280 million has a bigger market than Iran so it can be a great market for Iran because it is one of the biggest markets in the Middle East.
“Trade exchanges between the two countries during 2017 worth exceeded $600 million which equaled about twice the exchanges in 2016," Alimudin added.
