Tehran (ecoideal) – Iran’s exports to Qatar have increased five-fold.
The latest statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration on foreign trade for the first two months of the Iranian year (started March 21) show that 216.585 tons of commodities worth $47.666 million have been exported from Iran to Qatar during the period representing a dramatic increase compare to the same period last year.
Exports to Qatar account for 1.15% and 0.65% in weight and value respectively of the total value of Iran’s exports during the period. So, Qatar ranked 19th among the countries which imported goods from Iran.
But, during the first two months of last year, 131.814 tons of goods were exported from Iran to Qatar, worth only $8.899 million.
Accordingly, the amount of Iran’s exports to Qatar during the first two months of the current year compare to the same period in last year have been increased 64% and 435% in terms of weight and value respectively.
An important point is that the price of export commodities to Qatar has increased, which shows that goods of higher value have been exported to the country since last year.
