ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, Oct 26, IRNA – Head of Iran-Oman chamber of commerce rejected the information disseminated on some social media, emphasizing that no Iranian bank account has been blocked in Oman.
The joint chamber of commerce said on Thursday that over the past weeks, the body has managed to set the ground for enhancement of economic cooperation of the two countries' private sectors through consultations with Omani officials and Banking CEOs, but some parties are trying to make the traders worried irrespective of good relations underway between the two sides.
All bank accounts, belonging to Iranian investors that are in line with regulations, including anti-money laundering, are active and there will be no banking limits whatsoever, the chamber said in the statement.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday, the Head of Iran-Oman Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Zarrabi reaffirmed that no Iranian account has been blocked at Omani banks.
Statistics show that Iran's export to Oman in the first tri-mester of this Persian year (March 21- July 22, 2018) has increased by 116 percent compared to the same period last year.
