ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, Nov 13, IRNA – Eighteen foreign companies as well as 230 domestic ones are scheduled to participate in Iran’s International Maritime Exhibition next month, according to a senior official at Ports and Maritime Organization.
Speaking during a press conference, Ali-Akbar Marzban said that the eighteen foreign companies due to participate in the event are from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Greece, Oman, China and Taiwan as well as an international Indo-UAE company.
The Exhibition will be held in Kish Island, south of Iran on Dec. 17-19, the official said.
During the exhibition, the participating companies will put on display their latest achievements in the area of onshore, offshore, oil, gas, petro chemistry, maritime and port services, building and repairing vessels, maritime equipment, advisement and engineering, dredging up, fishery, safety, maritime environment, preventing maritime accidents, sea tourism, training and research, and port shipping, he added.
Marzban said that opportunities for making investment in Iran’s port and maritime sectors will be introduced to both foreign and domestic investors.
In the exhibition, Iran will demonstrate that it will go ahead with its maritime and port plans despite new US sanctions against the country, the official said.
