ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA – Iran's mining sector and mineral industries exports value increased by more than $7.48 billion in first nine months of current Iranian year which represents 1 percent rise over the same period last year and accounted for 22% of the country's total exports.
Mining sector and mineral industries exports exceeded 44.721 million tons, down 10 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous last year.
However, it accounted for 51 percent of exports in terms of weight in that period. In the first 9 months of this year, steel chain and steel products with over 7.252 million tons worth over $3.442 billion.
According to statistics, more than 256.4 tons worth more than $642.9 million were exported which is 55 percent less than the 9 months of the year in weight, but is 8 percent higher in terms of value.
The cement chain also accounted for 6 percent of the total in the mining trade and mining business in the 9 months of this year, with exports of more than 12 million tons worth more than $ 407.7 million.
