ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA – Bazargan Customs officials and Gurbulak Customs of Turkey agreed to accept 450 trucks daily to facilitate car commute on the border between the two countries.
The joint meeting of customs officials of the two countries was held with the presence of the governor of the city of Doubayazid and the customs inspector of the province of Ağrı and the Director General of the Customs Doubayazid of Turkey and the members of the Coordination Committee at the Bazargan Customs.
At the meeting, due to the increase in the volume of trade between Iran and Turkey and, consequently, the increase in the exit of merchandise goods from the Bazargan border, it was angered each day on both sides to accept 450 trucks to prevent the length of the queue at the doors of Customs.
According to IRNA, Turkey as one of Iran’s neighbors, which has always tried to develop its exports to neighboring countries, ranked fifth among the 100 importing countries from Iran. Comparison of Iran's imports from Iran by the mid- January this year, with the same period last year, shows that exports to Turkey increased by 21.33% and grew by 54.58%.
