ECONOMIC IDEAL – Kabul, Feb 13, IRNA – A spokesman for the governorate of Farah of Afghanistan announced that the border between Abu Nasr Farahi and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was blocked for nearly a month due to corruption in the customs of the province will be reopened soon.
Nasser Mehri said on Wednesday that it was about a month that the border had been blocked due to the corruption of the Afghan authorities by the order of the Afghan President.
He added that with frequent appeals from the merchants of this province, it is about that the border to be opened soon to the merchants' properties.
Mehri said the reason for blocking the border was corruption in the administration of the province. adding, ‘There were no other problems in this regard.’
In the past month, this border was blocked by five Iranian items, due to the corruption of the customs officers of the border.
This border was blocked for about 50 days in the previous round in last Spetember, and then it was opened by the frequent demand of the people of Farah and the merchants and is now once again blocked by the same corruption claim that it is to be opened.
