ECONOMIC IDEAL – Moscow, Feb 20, IRNA- The regional and international policy manager of the Advanced Technologies Organization of Russia, ‘Rostec’, announced that the AvtoVAZ (Lada) car manufacturing company is negotiating with Iran to supply and produce car in the country.
Victor Kladov told reporters Wednesday on the sidelines of the Aero India-2019 Automobile Show in India that ‘AvtoVAZ has a car assembly line in Egypt and negotiates with other countries, including Iran.”
The Russian official said the issue of car export and assembly in Iran is raised.
The director of regional and international policy of the Advanced Technologies Organization of Russia also said that the export of Lada cars (AvtoVAZ) grew by 57 percent in 2018 to about 38,000.
Earlier the vice president of sales and marketing of AvtoVAZ has said that the cars were shipped to 34 countries, including Turkey, Tunisia, Chile and Cuba.
Last year, Lada Vesta was the best-selling car of AvtoVAZ, which accounted for 30% of its sales, and formerly Lada 4×4 was in the first place.
