ECONOMIC IDEAL – Chabahar, Feb 25, IRNA – Chabahar Day will be celebrated on February 26 in southeastern Iran with the participation of 500 guests from 35 world countries who attend a conference to promote the investment in and development of Chabahar, the strategic port in southeastern Iran.
Director General of Ports and Maritime Organization of southeastern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan Behrooz Aqaee said on Monday that several investment and economic projects are planned to be inaugurated simultaneous with Chabahar international development conference.
Countries which attend the Chabahar Day ceremony include India, Qatar, Afghanistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan Finland, Iraq, Algeria, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Oman, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Aqaee said.
Chabahar Day is a “great opportunity for businessmen, traders, freight companies, national and international Liners from Iran, India, and Afghanistan as well as other countries to reach the main goals of Chabahar Agreement, Ministry of Roads and Urban Development announced in January.
The guests are planned to visit the economic and transit capacities of Chabahar Port as well as facilities and infrastructure of Shahid Beheshti Port as part of Chabahar.
