ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, March 8, IRNA – Two Iranian researchers have introduced a method for producing negative pressure similar to a whirlwind, manufacturing a device used in many industries, including steel and oil, by which Iran can break the monopoly of some countries in the failed.
Reza Bijanzadeh, who gained the third applied research rank of the 32nd Kharazmi International Festival in Mechanical Engineering, pointed out on Friday that the project is a vacuum-powered air pump, and a high-tech system.
He added, ‘Through this machine, the fluid is rotated rapidly in a chamber and the centrifugal force transmits air inside the chamber to its wall, producing a negative pressure in the center.’
The researcher went on to say, ‘With this method, devices with a negative pressure of 800 mill bars and a suction Debye of 6000 cubic meters per hour have been made; the amounts can be easily increased along with increase in the suction level. Putting several devices together, it can be made so simply at not cost.’
Bijanzadeh went on, ‘The technology and materials needed for manufacturing the machine domestically are easily available; the Iran-made device is highly competitive as its construction is cost-effective regarding the fact that rival manufacturers use the equipment required for the purpose at expensive cost; since this device does not have any rotating equipment it has long life span.’
He said the device can simultaneously collect the material and transfer the material to the desired point with the same injection pressure fluid, although devices such as ejectors and venturis generate a negative pressure with the injected fluid, but because of differences in structure and different fluid laws apply a very small pressure and Debye rate, as they have been used in very limited industries.
