ECONOMIC IDEAL – Moscow, March 13, IRNA – Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian in a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak reviewed connecting electricity network through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
According to Russia's 'Tass' News Agency, both sides agreed to hold the economic commission meeting in Tehran and Isfahan cities.
The 15th joint economic commission meeting of Iran and Russia will be held on June 16 in Iran.
Both sides also agreed to hold a conference on economic and trade cooperation between Iran and northern Caucasus in Tehran on May 15.
The 14th joint economic commission which includes 15 working groups in transportation, standard, banking, tourism, sports and youth, investment, nuclear, higher education, industries, Eurasia, customs affairs, health, culture, energy and mine was held last year.
The preliminary meeting of the joint commission was held with the attendance of Ardakanian, Novak and Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mahdi Sanaei in Moscow on November 28, 2018.
Earlier, speaking to IRNA, Ardakanian referred to Russia's good stance against the US illegal acts on walking away from Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying Iran hopes to develop relations with Moscow in various fields.
Meanwhile, earlier Russian ambassador to Iran Levan Jagarian said that the US sanctions will have no impact on Iran-Russia cooperation in energy field and implementing signed contracts.
He added that Russia is satisfied with cooperation with Iran.
