ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran, April 18, IRNA — Pakistan Ambassador to Iran Rifat Masood said on Wednesday that security of borders and fortifying them as well as economic cooperation are among major issues to be pursued during Pakistani prime minister’s visit to Tehran.
Addressing the ceremony marking Pakistan National Day late on Wednesday, she added that Tehran-Islamabad trade ties currently stands at two billion dollars that should be increased.
As to the two countries’ security and border issues, she said that border problems will be solved with the enhancement of political and military relations.
Expressing sympathy with the Iran flood victims, she said that her country has sent two airplanes of relief aid, including blanket and foodstuff, to them.
Every time Iran asks for help, Islamabad is ready to take actions in the field, she said.
Describing bilateral relations as historic and profound, the envoy said that political, economic, defense and cultural relations can be improved using the existing potentials.
