ECONOMIC IDEAL – Qeshm, April 24, IRNA – Some 240 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) valued at 100,000 billion Tomans were signed during the Conference on International Investment in Hormuzgan province, said the province’s governor general late on Tuesday.
Addressing the meeting and reviewing Qeshm’s capacities for developing knowledge-based economy, Fereydoun Hemmati hailed role of private sector in the field of production.
He further noted that Hormuzgan province boasts of suitable capacities in the field of knowledge-based companies.
Hemmati invited local experts to help overcome problems facing the province.
Meanwhile, managing director of Qeshm Free Zone said that one of the main missions of the free zones is to pass on knowledge and technology.
Hamid Reza Momeni added that Qeshm enjoys a better situation regarding growth of knowledge-based companies but it is not satisfactory and more should be done in this respect.
