ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran (ISNA) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Czech Republic signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on industrial cooperation.
The MoU was inked between Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.
IDRO was represented by its Executive Board Chairman, Mohammad Baqer Ali who signed the MoU with Czech deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Eduard Muřický in Tehran.
They signed the MoU on developing industrial cooperation, with an emphasis on partnership between the two countries’ public and private sections.
Based on the agreement, a working group between Iran and Czech Republic will be established.
The two officials agreed to use the maximum potential of both sides’ government and private sectors in automotive, rail transport, new technologies as well as energy industries.
Establishing Iran-Czech joint venture companies in order to expand industrial investments and renovate the industrial and manufacturing process-shipbuilding are other provisions of the agreement.
Mohammad Baqer Ali has also urged the two governments to facilitate effective communications between their Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)
Muřický for his part stressed on the will of Czech Republic to implement the provisions of the MoU as soon as possible.
