ECONOMIC IDEAL – Beijing, May 20, IRNA – The Asian intangible cultural heritage exhibition was held with the attendance of many countries, including Iran, in National Library of China.
Speaking to IRNA, Representative of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran in Shanghai Hossein Khalifi said works from Iran, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, the Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia are showcased in the event.
The exhibition is underway in an area covering 1,300 meter, and 60 meter is allocated to Iran, he added.
Khalifi referred to cultural exchange and introducing history and intangible heritage as the most important objectives of the event.
The Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) was held at the presence of cultural officials from 47 countries, namely Iran, in Beijing on May 15.
Iranian Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarz-zadeh, Iranian prominent director Majid Majidi, President of Iran's National Museum and some other officials attended the conference.
CDAC is aimed at transmitting Asian and world civilizations, creating mutual learning platform, developing joint civilizations and increasing confidence among the Asian cultures.
Helping to create mutual confidence and coordination in Asia, maintaining mutual understanding in Asian development and upgrading the skill to promote innovation in Asia are among other objectives of the event.
Some exhibits and cultural festivals were also held on the sidelines of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC).
