ECONOMIC IDEAL – Tehran (ISNA) – From October 22 to November 20 the Iran Mercantile Exchange sold 1,918,000 tonnes of various commodities worth nearly 775 million dollars on its spot market.
According to a report by the IME’s international affairs and PR there were 703,529 tonnes of commodities traded on its mineral and industrial trading floor with a trading value of nearly 346 million dollars.
On this floor, the exchange sold 693,972 tonnes of steel, 5,140 tonnes of various types of copper, 9 tonnes of precious metals concentrates, 480 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 3,410 tonnes of aluminum, 860 tonnes of zing ingots and 16 kg of gold bars.
Next floor was the oil and petrochemical trading more than 1,212,000 tonnes of commodities worth more than 428 million dollars on both domestic and export markets. Commodities sold here were 293,420 tonnes of various grades of bitumen, 210,861 tonnes of polymeric products, 125,441 tonnes of chemicals, 4,200 tonnes of slack wax and 426,260 tonnes of vacuum bottom.
Among other commodities offered and sold on the same floor during the period were 6,300 tonnes of insulation, 7,196 tonnes of base oil, 21,890 tonnes of sulfur, 600 tonnes of argon and 117,000 tonnes of lube cut.
Furthermore, the IME witnessed trade of 3,100 kg of saffron on its agricultural trading floor.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 1,736 tonnes of various commodities sold on it.
