Tehran (ISNA) – Within the week ending on May 20th, 2022, the IME witnessed trade of 2,167,485 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of almost 679 million USD on its physical market.
According to a report by the IME’s International Affairs and PR, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 1,748,000 tonnes of commodities valued at nearly 374 million USD.
On this floor, the IME’s customers purchased 1,187,798 tonnes of cement, 170,000 tonnes of iron ore, 215,565 tonnes of steel, 83,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 11,925 tonnes of aluminum, 9,550 tonnes of copper, 140 tonnes of lead, 70,900 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 10 kg of gold bars.
Next was the IME’s automobile trading floor with trades of 103 Cara Sedan automobiles.
Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 412,363 tonnes of commodities worth more than 296 million USD.
The exchange’s customers purchased on this floor 114,185 tonnes of bitumen, 96,580 tonnes of polymeric products, 23,000 tonnes of lube cut, 121,650 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 41,125 tonnes of chemicals, 10,560 tonnes of sulfur, 4,330 tonnes of base oil, 110 tonnes of insulation and 70 tonnes of argon.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 6,236 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
