TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russia’s auto manufacturing companies have called on Iranian firms to participate in auto parts manufacturing industries of Russia.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Homogenous Powertrain Industries and Automobile Parts Manufacturers of Iran Ebrahim Doostzadeh in an interview with IRNA on Wednesday said that after two years of participation of Iranian auto parts makers in the Automobility Moscow Exhibition (MIMS Automobility), the outcomes of this presence are gradually becoming evident.
Once bilateral interaction in this field is strengthened, Iran will witness a bright future in the field of producing and exporting automotive parts, he underlined.
He pointed to the presence of senior officials of Russia’s Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) in Iran and said that the Russian delegation hailed Iran’s salient progress gained in manufacturing automotive parts and equipment.
According to an order issued by the Russian president, 80 percent of vehicles and their parts in Russia should be manufactured locally and this has created a golden opportunity for Iranian parts manufacturers to get the lion’s share in Russia’s car market, Doostzadeh added.
On Saturday, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industries for Transportation Affairs Manouchehr Manteghi and the President of Russia’s NAMI Institute discussed cooperation in the field of joint production of cars and auto parts.
The Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the Automobility Moscow Exhibition (MIMS Automobility) for the second time in a row in August this year.
