TEHRAN (ECOIDEAL)- Vice President Mohammad Nahavandian underlined that the new Iranian government is planning to broaden economic and trade cooperation with the regional countries
"The government is trying to pave the way for the businessmen to get familiar with the neighboring countries' markets by maintaining constant contacts with them," Nahavandian, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's deputy for economic affairs, said on Friday.
He reiterated that the Iranian government is paving the way for the private sector to take the best advantage of the current situation, and said, "Iran is facilitating the presence of foreign investors in the country."
In relevant remarks in early May, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi underlined that Iran is looking for peaceful relations with its neighboring countries, including the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member-states.
"Iran is ready to boost balanced relations with neighboring countries such as Persian Gulf littoral states," Qassemi said.
He reiterated that Iran is contact with the PGCC countries, and said, "We hope that we could finally remove some obstacles hindering Iran's improvement of political relations with those countries."
