TEHRAN (ecoideal)- Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi blasted the US government for creating obstacles in the way of foreign banks' cooperation with their Iranian counterpart.
"The US is trying to poison the business environment and discourage big banks and companies from working with Iran," Salehi said.
The AEOI chief underlined that the US is fear mongering, but in reality they cannot accomplish much as there is a lot of rhetoric.
In relevant remarks in late August, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined that his new cabinet's foreign minister is required to stand against the US violation of the internationally-accepted 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers.
"During this tenure, our foreign minister's most important responsibility is standing beside the nuclear deal and not allowing the US and the enemies of Iran to succeed (in discarding the agreement)," President Rouhani said, addressing the parliamentarians in an open session in Tehran on Sunday to defend his pick for the post of foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif.
"Today, the biggest responsibility of the foreign ministry is safeguarding the young seedling of the nuclear deal and standing against the US," he stressed.
