TEHRAN (ecoideal)- Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri in a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales underscored the need for removing obstacles to the expansion of banking relations between the two countries.
"Bolivia's more serious efforts to obviate the banking obstacles and issues are needed," Jahangiri said during the meeting on the sidelines of the Fourth Summit of Gas Exporting Countries in Santa Cruz on Friday.
He also announced Iran's preparedness to transfer its know-how and experiences to Bolivia, specially in the fields of technology and nanotechnology and implementing different projects in the country.
Jahangiri also held a meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on the sidelines of the conference.
During the meeting, he referred to the US unilateral sanctions against independent countries, and said, "Our reliance on internal power and increasing the capacity of national production to meet our needs were the positive consequences of the US behavior."
He also emphasized Iran's willingness to share its experiences with Venezuela in all fields.
Leaders from Russia, Iran, Qatar, Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Bolivia, Venezuela, Libya, Nigeria, Trinidad y Tobago and the United Arab Emirates are attending in the Fourth Summit of Gas Exporting Countries in Santa Cruz.
Representatives from the Netherlands, Iraq, Oman, Peru, Norway, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will observe the four-day conference.
State-run natural gas agencies from Bolivia and Russia are also present at the summit to promote the use of natural gas to fuel vehicles and the selling of liquid and compressed natural gas throughout the world.
