TEHRAN (ecoideal)- The value of foreign investment made in the Northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi considerably increased in the current Iranian year (started March 22, 2017) as compared with last year.
Some 580 million dollars of foreign investments were made in Khorasan Razavi province since the beginning of the current year.
Head of the Provincial Management and Planning Organization Reza Jamshidi reiterated that the investment was made for implementation of 25 projects.
"The rate of foreign investment attracted by the province from March 21, 2014 to October 22, 2017 stood at $964 million which was 1.5 times of the figure for the past ten years," he said.
Jamshidi said that some 18 of the projects have so far been fully implemented, adding that progress of 60 percent of the projects has been over 40 percent.
In a relevant development on Thursday, First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri voiced Iran's support for foreign investments and those foreigners who are willing to contribute to production in Iran.
"The current administration welcomes and supports investors and foreign investing directly contributing to domestic production in Iran,” Jahangiri said, addressing a ceremony in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi province.
He said that the Iranian government also supports those foreign investors who finance the production projects in Iran.
